Believing all life is precious...
it is our duty to pray for the needs of pets too.
May We Pray for Yours?
Prayer Chapel is the internet presence of the Monks at Mountain View.
The men of our mendicant spiritual community have dedicated their lives to praying
for the needs of others. May we pray for you?
As mendicants we pray for the needs of those who support us.
We welcome your generous donations and prayer request at anytime.
Mendicancy predates Christ. The practice of praying for others as a lifestyle supported by those you pray for can be found in Buddhism, Jainism, Hindu Ascetics, Sufi Islam and the Catholic Monastic Orders of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Dominic.
If your prayers were working you wouldn't be looking here.
Why do our prayers get results and yours don't?
Our Prayer is effective. It is direct, to the point and welcomed by God.
No prophets, saints, stained glass, statues or virgins involved!
Prayer Requests Accepted 24/7
The hand of God is still available for the asking
Miracles large and small still occur daily.
Our faith is evidenced based, not to be found in a bible, a catechism or any holy book.
We have seen the precious hand of God move things in our favor in answer to our prayers.

IT IS BETTER TO LIGHT A CANDLE,
THAN TO CURSE THE DARKNESS
Each day we accept prayer request from around the world.
While most request are for personal needs, many come from those praying for others.
No surprise when you consider the daily news. It seems each new day brings horrifying
reports of violence and natural disasters.
But we can learn from these events, we can grow from this. When something bad happens you have three choices. You can let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.
